In about 90 minutes, Britney Spears is scheduled to show up at a Los Angeles soundstage to shoot a video for "Piece Of Me," the Robyn-tinged second single from Blackout. Perhaps to avoid a repeat of Britney's show-up-then-drift-off act from the last time she tried the whole video thing, her label has enlisted Wayne Isham who directed "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman"—not to mention the video for Eddie Murphy and Michael Jackson's "Whatzupwitu"!—to direct. Unfortunately this video won't feature Britney on a cliff, but it will have a plot that was no doubt dreamt up by our heroine:
Brit and her dancers enter a club in matching wigs and trench coats in order to sneak Spears in. Once in the club and without her disguise, the pop star is followed by the paparazzi regardless.
You know, I'm starting to think that my scenario of her dancing with dolphins in an upcoming video isn't too farfetched. Of course, they'd have to be wearing hip-huggers and swimming around stripper poles, but still.

I can't wait for this one!!!!
it can't be worse than the video for 'gimme more.' right? right?
Can't believe he isn't putting her on another butte. In the '90s if you saw an artist lip-synching on a butte you knew Wayne Isham had directed the video ("Blaze of Glory," "I Disappear"). Of course at this point she'd probably either fall off herself or drop one of her kids off it.

At this point it's probably for the best.

Ooh -- or why not go all the way? Two words: dolphin sex. Even Dan Savage is ooked out by it -- it's gotta be the next big taboo.
Wasn't there a Lindsay Lohan video kind of like that?
Axl already swam with the dolphins, man. It's been done.
