Idolator Charts The Artists Of Today That You'll Be Sick Of Hearing About By Tomorrow

(Ed. note: Once again, we present "Indecent Exposure," a ranking of the artists who are receiving the most dangerously high levels of popular-culture exposure. It's an anecdotal chart that takes into account such factors as media appearances, blog hype, playing-in-the-background bar music, and overheard subway conversations, and it is 100 percent statistically sound.)

INDECENT EXPOSURE CHART: 6/8/07
ARTIST WEEKS ON CHART LAST WEEK DAYS UNTIL BACKLASH
1. PAUL MCCARTNEY 1 165 11 76
2. THE WHITE STRIPES 478 2 26
3. AMY WINEHOUSE 34 1 -11
4. BUMBLEBEE, THE RAP-ROCKING ROBOT N/A N/A 15
5. R. KELLY 96 5 2
6. BONO 22 19 11
7. WIN BUTLER'S B-BALL 2 N/A 2
8. RIHANNA 21 14 'ELLA, 'ELLA, 'ELLA LONG TIME
9. AKON 426 20 3
10. BRUCE WILLIS 3 RE-ENTRY N/A 6

1 - La isla barista!
2- Could lead to much-needed Kurtis Blow revival
3 - You're gonna do this one by the book, McClane!

Thanks to a perfect storm of nostalgia, ceaseless press and spur-of-the-moment chain-store purchases, PAUL MCCARTNEY shoots to the top of this week's chart, though he's neck and neck with THE WHITE STRIPES, whose Icky Thump leaked onto the internet this week, though in an apparent "hook-free" version. Meanwhile, sticky frump AMY WINEHOUSE stayed in the top three, where she'll stay all summer, as the press can't get enough Winehousery (her left-forearm tattoo just had a scintillating interview with TeenVogue.com!) And as for BRUCE WILLIS, he's back on the road this summer, where he'll presumably be honking on bobo and hitting on the local massage therapist sitting in the third row. Yippy kay play! Etc.
