Notes from this week's Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off in San Mateo, Calif.: "Jim Martin, formerly of Faith No More, must be totally jealous: the highest he's placed in the annual contest was 4th in '03 with a 1064 lb pumpkin. Not that he's throwing in the towel on his alternative career anytime soon; Martin hit the leader board again this year for the 'Biggest from a San Mateo County Farm Bureau Member' for his 977 lb behemoth. The pumpkin will be on view this weekend (Oct. 13 + 14) at the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival. 'Big' Jim might be strolling around, too; you've certainly got better odds of spotting a reverse mohawk here than at a FNM reunion." [Deciblog via MetalSucks]

I'll bet Mike Patton could find something interesting to do with Jim's pumpkin.
Wow, props on working in a "Discotheque" reference.
Whoa. I went to high school in Half Moon Bay. If I would have known that the rad guys from Faith No More were hanging out there growing pumpkins, maybe I would have spent more time trying to look/act cool rather then sitting in pumpkin fields smoking pot and listening to Cypress Hill.
