From wire services:
"PopoZão," a Brazilian hip-hop song about oversized female buttocks, died today. It was nine months old.
Originally released by rapper Kevin Federline as a single in January, "PopoZão" was killed when Federline announced that the song would not appear on his upcoming album Playing With Fire. Throughout its short life, "PopoZão"—which implored listeners to "Bring that Brazil booty on the floor; Up, down, all around, work that shit to the funky sound"—achieved notoriety on the Internet, where it inspired numerous parodies. But experts believe nothing was more harmful to the song's health than Federline's own spoken-word introduction on MTV, where he noted that he had written "...a Brazilian ass-shaker. Can I say that? Right on."
The song's demise was mourned in the music blogopshere, where it had been a go-to punchline throughout much of the summer.
"This is the end of an era," noted Scott "Stereogum" Stereogum. "I can only hope Scott Stapp releases another solo record in the fourth quarter."
The song is survived by a video and an eMusic download.

I can't believe the dream is finally over.
I know that technically he's only 9 months old (which makes the obit a little creepy), but I picture Popozao as an e-tard who's recently given up on the club scene. He's locked himself in his Bronx apartment, periodically napping on the window sill, listening to Green Day's "Time of Your Life" on repeat.
Hang in there, kitty!
Popozao is the bastard child of the macarena and the chicken dance...
can some one please shoot him with a fine italian undershirt.
