Leak Of The Day: Arctic Monkeys' "Storm" Is Now A Lot More Clear

arctic.jpgArctic Monkeys' "Brianstorm" first leaked on BBC a few weeks ago, but it wasn't until this weekend that callmeMICKEY posted a non-radio rip of the song. It's the jittery first single from next month's Favourite Worst Nightmare—an album that all of us will be sick of reading about by mid-May—and at least one of your Idolators just still doesn't get the fuss:

  • This and their last single are seriously devoid of hooks. And that ain't a backlash-tinged observation.

    Bring on the Fratellis ...

  • Yeah, I've never quite gotten it either. And the Monkeys' whole problem is a lack of hooks. Short of "Dancefloor" and a couple others on their debut, the music is bland, overheated Undertones/Jam/Supergrass-lite. Hell, the Chords, Rezillos, and Lambrettas had catchier songs than these goofs.

("Back in my day...") But seriously, if music critics want to continue to go apeshit over this crap, god help us all.
