From last night's UK Music Hall Of Fame ceremonies, where recipients are handed a familiar-looking trophy.
Really, though—after all the hijinks he pulled in Hammer Of The Gods, who would have thought Page would have wound up looking healthier than the rest of the band? He reminds us of a British physics instructor who likes to be left alone in his study on Sundays, and actually refers to his co-workers as "Old bean!"

"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..."
That's a freaky resemblance to Mr. Rogers there.
I can't wait for Daniel the tiger puppet's rendition of the Battle of Evermore.
...or Henrietta Pussycat's rendition of "Stairway":
And there's a meow-meow by the meow
Mee-owing all the meow
There meows a meow-meow we all meo-o-ow
etc.
I have always loved Led Zep and Jimmy Page has been my hero since I read "Hammer of the Gods" when i was 14.
But a little part of me died forever the day he got that middle-aged-50s-housewife haircut.
.....Pagey stopped being my hero with 1979's "In Through the out Door," a synth-driven pop record.
Oh, shnip! Are we going to have to start a back-and-forth on In Through? That album is amazing. Joel Siegel called it "synth-sational."
Not one of the 7 deadly synths?
.....Oh, the album itself is not bad at all. But take away Page's solo "Fool in the Rain," and you have next to nothing guitar-worthy. It's a sad, sad album for a guitar hero to be part of.
.....Yes, deadly. There was some nice ARP work on that record, but the mini-moog was awfully tired by 1979.
carouselambra is one zeppelins finest moments.Go back and have another listen to it.The rest of the album though is either filler or spit and polish B sides.
