For one brief moment, we are lifting our Dohertorium to note that the Libertines reunited last night in London. NME has a blog dedicated to the performance, which they're covering with its usual 14-year-old-girl-at-a-poetry-slam zeal ("With 'Can't Stand Me Now' echoing out through the dark, dank streets surrounding London's Hackney Empire, a thousand salty eyed fans head off to their beds. Or the nearest watering hole...") Shaky footage can be found here, and you can expect plenty more blog-wide coverage throughout the day—especially in the U.K., where this is the biggest thing to happen since Fancy A Wafer, Love? went off the air.

The Libertines are dead. Long live The Libertines.
Not to get all "shuffle-mystic," but Killamangiro was the first song out of my front door this morning. It felt like a good omen for a sunny Friday. Goddamit I'm a fanboy, but this really makes my heart happy.
So, which one is Pete Doherty again?
And in other news, the Mets are looking pretty solid this year. That Jose Reyes is quite the firecracker... Anyone? ANYONE??
I am going to my first game of the season tonight! Can't wait to see what Spanish word Reyes teaches the crowd.
Wait, where am I again?
hey I'm going tonight also! Can't wait to see pitiable nationals offense deal with 93 mph sinkers from pelfrey. Where's the idolator pants party meetup?
Ahem. Sports are not rock!
(altogether now): "NEITHER WERE THE LIBERTINES!"
chuckle/sigh
Ha! This from NME's update of this earth-staggering reunion:
Meanwhile Charles Cameronok said it was the "best night of my life, (I've) never cried from happiness before".
That last name looks like "anorak" - and with reason! Piss off, spotty!
WRT your headline: no cared about this douche in the first place. except for english music journalists with bad tatste in music.
