The first notes of Al Gore's globalmegaextravaganza Live Earth will sound in Sydney at 10 p.m. ET, and the concert has had its share of last-minute scrambles—a show in DC, Gogol Bordello getting the call-up to back Madonna, a never-before-seen interest in the Antarctic music scene, and, of course, Pete Wentz promotional appearances. But one question remains: Will people tune in?

Not that anyone will likely read this, but I just learned from the Bloc Party guy that what we call "The Wave" in the States is "The Mexican Wave" in the UK. Fascinating.
There was also something about lightbulbs.
