Last October, we wrote about Margo Guryan, a California singer-songwriter who released a handful of sumptuous pop songs before entering the music-teacher life. Today, a tipster has let us know about "16 Words," in which she turns the much-debated phrase from George W. Bush's 2003 State of the Union address into a bit of military-baroque pop. She apparently wrote last June, and we kind of can't believe that we're just finding out about it now (come on, tipsters!); according to Torr it's being released as a single in the UK this week, something that we are pretty sure will never happen Stateside, so here's the clip.

Fuck yeah. This says everything a punk-protest anthem no longer has the language to say.
Margo is still a brilliant songwriter - always was, always will be! Best anti-Bush song yet! If only Conor knew how to be so concise...
Guryan rules, nice.
Check out the George W. Bush singers. They do the exact same thing but with a choir. Awesome. Maybe she's one of the Bush singers..?
