ALBUM Nostalgic For Nothing, a 1995 rarities and singles compilation
BACKGROUND Of all the pop-punk-whatever bands that I burned through in the '90s, J Church holds up the best: Lance Hahn's one-liners and observations only get funnier as you get older, and despite parlaying a half-dozen or so power chords into hundreds of songs, he never lost the quality vs. quantity battle. I'd say Cheap Shot's having a tough morning. While I would not have picked these two tracks at 1-2, this is a great album.
I vote "Nostalgic for Nothing" and "UFO's Will Crash" as my 1-2 off of this album. Try to avoid the "Planet Earth" cover, though. It's terrible.
