Admittedly, we've been pretty skimpy on the indie MP3s the past few days, which tends to make our overlords cringe and our cool-cred dwindle. But until something more interesting than the GREATEST BAND EVER comes along, we'll just have to make do tracks like this acoustic Panic! At The Disco cover of "Maneater." We present this as less of an endorsement, and more of a conversation piece:

Hey thanks for posting!

First you have the dude from Brand New covering Neutral Milk Hotel (which, for argument's sake, was quasi-acceptable), and now it slips even further to this second-rate emo band covering something ironic. What's next? Pete Wentz doing "My Heart Will Go On"?
Hmm, not crazy about Brendon's voice. It just sounds so flat to me, even more so acoustic.
On an unrelated (or not) note... The Bravery did an acoustic set on KROQ's Kevin & Bean this morning, and though I hate to admit it, they sounded pretty good. "An Honest Mistake" sounds sooo much better acoustic.
This has actually been floating around for quite a while.
If you're ever lacking in mp3's to post, just go track down one of the "Punk Goes..." series. I'm sure everybody on this site would get a kick out of hearing all those pop punk guys giving their treatment to REM and whatnot.
"Admittedly, we've been pretty skimpy on the indie MP3s the past few days"
Please tell me you don't classify Panic! At The Disco as "indie." Please.
Blech. I can't even enjoy PATD for being the terrible joke they are.
Is this a cover of "Maneater" by Hall & Oates or "Maneater" by Nelly Furtado & Timbaland? (You don't expect me to listen to it just to find the answer to my question, do you?)
@Hyman Decent: The latter. And really, the Lil' Wayne remix >>>>>>>>> this.
Horrible!
Who allowed them to do this?!
