Jr. are recording their new album, and confiscate the early mixes, charging J. Mascis with illegally designing a shoe for nike while not being a rapper? then you can post them shits and be a star on Hype Machine.

Julians Hatfield did a solo tour a few years back that was frickin awesome. Just her and electric guitar. Not only was it some of the best electric guitar tone I've ever heard -- like being wrapped in a toast warm fur coat -- she sings like an angel. And she's still as cute as all get out. I wanted to take her home for hot chocolate with mom.

And any time you want to post a song from the first Dinosaur record, go for it chaps. Everything about that record ruled, from the initial blast of tape hiss to J's Alien chest burster guitar. Now that he's gone gray and been imitated to death, it's hard to imagine how thoroughly that first record blew people's minds.

Oh for the misspent SST days of my youth ...

SST had such a remarkable stretch--the Minutemen's "Double Nickels on the Dime," Husker Du's "Zen Arcade," the Meat Puppets' "II" and Black Flag's "Slip It In" all came out during the same year (1984)--and I doubt that any of 'em cost more than about $1,000 to record. Sonic Youth, the Descendents, Dinosaur, Screaming Trees.... Just too much good stuff. Sigh. I miss D. Boon.
