The Northwest trio Malfunkshun had a slim recorded output; outside of the Seattle area, it was probably best known for being the earliest band of over-the-top glam acolyte Andrew Wood, who fronted the pre-Pearl Jam outfit Mother Love Bone before passing away in 1990. (The unsung-grunge blog Lamestain, which is rapidly becoming one of our favorite reads, offered his take on the band earlier this month.) Sixteen years later, Malfunkshun's remaining members have decided to reunite with a new lead singer, and we're more than a bit curious to see how this all shakes out—Wood's outsized charisma, even on record, was nearly Gerard Way-sized, even in his earliest years of performing.
