Thanks to GIMME TINNITUS for reminding us to post about the Brooklyn outfit S-S-S-Spectres, whose live show we caught on Saturday afternoon. (Yesterday's server problems wreaked a little bit of havoc on our posting schedule, alas.) The trio played gloriously spazzed-out punk with a really strong low end, and their spectacle was accompanied by two spangle-outfitted dancers whose flailing and handstands only added to the fun:

Thanks for reminding me about these guys, I got a random EP in the mail one day and still have yet to listen to it! Me = slack.
i hate to pull a "KingHater" here.. but another brooklyn band with a gimmick and contrived name? pass.
Culture Bully posts an encouraging setlist from a recent Smashing Pumpkins concert, as well as a new song that the band slipped in, which is really upbeat and entirely acoustic.
Good thing we have such meaningful and serious things as gimmicks and names to help with forming an opinion on music... Since Idolator seems to enjoy them though, I secretly wish they didn't have a gimmick or a name like that though. If only they were called Spectres and if only they didn't have two people dancing at their shows. Only then would I give them a chance. WHEN, WHEN WILL THE WORLD BECOME A BETTER PLACE!!!??!!?!?!!?!?!?!?
