We've only just heard The Girls, an over-the-top Tel Aviv quartet that just released an EP on the UK label LOaF, but we're already pretty crazy about them; "The Girl From Yesterday" has both huge power-pop chords and delicate guitar textures, and it's a split personality that actually works, thanks to the outsized persona of lead singer Sharon K.

I was just about the say, "Isn't this the 2nd or 3rd Girls band in 20-odd years?" Mark from Abaton needs to set the record straight for some folks...
Actually, I downloaded this EP because I thought it was by The Girls who put out an album on Dirtnap last year.
