Bushwick Bill's appearance on this week's episode of Ego Trip's (White) Rapper Show reminded us how long it's been since we listened to Geto Boys' 1991 hit "Mind Playing Tricks On Me," one of the best rap tracks of the '90s, and surely one of the finest uses of an Issac Hayes sample ever:

A great old skool hit. If you are going to use an instrumental version of Mind Playing Tricks on Me, why not just put up Hung Up On My Baby?
Idolator's love of good early 90's rap continues... it's only a matter time before we get that inevitable Blahzay Blahzay post....
If I remember correctly, the video clip was also a classic. Must be around YouTube somewhere.
Next up for old skool tracks - Candyman. Do it.

The bitch shot him in the eye ... in THE EYE!!!! ... and they survive. Truly can't be stopped.
City Under Siege, Y'all!!
Isn't posting this song as an MP3, at this point, kinda like posting "Smells Like Teen Spirit"? I mean, it's a stone classic. Does a lot of the world really need to be clued in?
Not complaining, mind you -- just sayin'.
Ah yes....I remember seeing the Geto Boys with Public Enemy, Naughty by Nature, I want to say MC Lyte, and several other groups at the oh-so-lovely Baltimore Arena for this tour. Fucking Ace.
Also, sadly, I'm afraid that fewer people are aware of this song than Smells like teen spirit. Unlike smells like teen spirit, I would actually choose to listen to this track.
Oh, and I'd like to add, the best Anti-war song of my generation: Fuck A War.
"Yes this is Bushwick, Motherfuckin' Bill."
"The bitch shot him in the eye" ??
he shot himself in the eye in an attempt at suicide
oof
... continuing along with the whole nirvana - geto boys comparison
Yes!! Scarface = Grohl...It's all so clear to me now.
