You've no doubt already included 186 lbs. worth of box sets on your holiday wish-lists, but after listening to Bee Gees: The Studio Albums 1967-1968 non-stop over the holidays, we think you should squeeze in one more. Focusing on the Gibbs' brothers pre-disco heyday, the six Studio discs veer from hippie-dippy psychedelia to wistful piano balladry to straight-up Brit-pop—and, as you can probably guess, there's no shortage of stacked harmonies. Three stereo tracks from Horizontal are below, including "Massachusetts," an Idolator karaoke-club favorite.
UPDATE: We got RIAA'd on the MP3s—the oldest tracks, so far, to result in a cease-and-desist letter landing on the Idolator flophouse's doorstep. Alas.

Awesome! Thanks guys, people sleep on those bros because of Saturday Night Fever. One track you should check out from that period is "Spicks and Specks".
I love all those early albums, been waiting a good long time to get them remastered!
I listened to all six discs non stop, and now I'm all "REISSUE MUTHAFUCKIN' ODESSA AND THE REST ALREADY, EVEN MAIN COURSE AND CHILDREN OF THE GODDAMN NIGHT YALL!"
4 MAURIZE! :D
Massachusetts
I heart malatron.
Damn! I've been hearing forever that the pre-SNF Bee Gees made a lot of good music that's been appreciated by mods and other 60's afficionados so I wanted to check these mp3's out. Did "The Man" force you take them down?
Tiger, I heart you for hearting me for hearting that song. But talk is cheap. Who's gonna take care of my morning wood?
Man I'd love to see Robin Gibb's old solos lps released too "Robin's Reign" and "Sing Slowly Sisters".....
Hey if anyone from the RIAA is still listening-how's that blank cassette tax coming?
