Guitarist/vocalist Margaret Fielder and producer Guy Fixsen have formed the core of the agit-electro outfit Laika since its inception; the band's entire output is worth a listen, but we still have a fondness for its first proper full-length, 1995's Silver Apples Of The Moon. Moon, which came out on the iconic label Too Pure, was full of dub-tinged, razor-sharp songs, with Fielder's clipped vocals only adding to the crisp, brooding atmosphere.

Also the only band ever to make spam e-mail into a great song. (To my knowledge.)
I was always much more into Moonshake, even after the David Callahan/Margaret Fielder split.
The first Moonshake album, Eva Luna, which features both of them is completely brilliant and still sounds current.
Hmm...do I have that on my ipod right now?
Oh crap I do! I guess I'm turning off Sepultura for a bit.....
