But Goldenfiddle recently clued us in to the wonders of SEV'N 9, an Atlanta outfit whose mediocrity runs so deep, it seems as thought it was genetically engineered: They've got the boy-band-style name, the multi-ethnic line-up, and influences that range from Bon Jovi to Tupac. I've often wondered about the whole ubiquitous number-in-the-band-name thing, but these guys have helped me to finally understand: In this case, it's got to represent the two speeds on the musical influence blender they used to stir up this mighty shit-smoothie.
