Admittedly, it doesn't take too much work to to poke fun at the indie-obsessed masses, but writer Jarrett Grode's hee-larious faux-post—titled "The world's worst mp3 blog would look like this"—has an alarmingly spot-on specifity. Check this sample entry:
August 8th, 2006 Carlos D. never ceases to amaze me. First he flaunts his studio wizardry with remixes of the three good songs from Interpol's second album (you have to listen closely, but he made the hi-hat a little louder on "Slow Hands"). Now he's taken the Interpol rip-off band Editors (I call them Copy Editors) and remixed their best song, "Bullets," by taking off the vocals and singing the same lyrics himself. Heaven.Download: "Bullets" (Carlos D. remix)
Again, easy targets. But if we can't still laugh at well-constructed Carlos D high-hat reference now and then, really, what's the point?

Jarrett Grode rules... you may remember him as the rapping admissions and records workstudy guy on Undeclared.
I don't know what I love more: the fact that Carlos D. removed the Editors vocals and replaced them with his own and called that a remix or that Jarret calls it "heaven"
I await the breathless Fiery Furnaces review.
you may remember him
