Solidifying his "elder statesman of rock" cred, Dave Grohl leads the Foo Fighters as they turn "Band On The Run" into ... well, a Foo Fighters song, pretty much. [I Am Fuel, You Are Friends]

  • Ahahaha. The song was dripping along rather faithfully, and I had just said to my wife, "You know they're just *waiting* to do the big Foo Fighter-y rock thing." And then they did, and it was hilarious.

  • @Barry White Stripes, Office Left Winger:

And the "Dave Grohl -> Paul McCartney" is complete.
I picture Barry White, etc jumping up and down on his couch like the guy from PCU:

Pigman: "A Bridge Too Far." Caine and Hackman in the same movie. This is my thesis man! This is my closing argument! I CAN STOP WATCHING TV!

  • What would be really awesome is an entire album of Foo-icized covers:

    Rehab
    Grip Like a Vice
Most Likely You Go Your Way (Mark Ronson version)
Trapped in the Closet pts. 2 & 9-12
Bridges & Balloons (ft. Rob Halford)

  • I miss Pat Smear. Also, remember when the Foo Fighters replaced the damned (as in, straight from hell) saxophone in "Baker Street" with plain ol' guitar riffs for their cover version? That was when they officially lost me.
