In December, Radiohead's spurned label Parlophone will release a box set of all the band's albums, plus a slightly less bulky collection in the form of "a limited edition USB stick, shaped in the band's iconic 'bear' image. The 4GB memory stick will contain Radiohead's entire catalog in WAV files together with digital artwork." The USB version of the box sells for twice as much as the CD set, just in case you thought In Rainbows meant a move towards forward-thinking digital pricing. [Billboard]

It's a "Googly Minotaur" -- get it right or pay the price.
Also... I guess it's better than some sad, dashed together "Greatest Hits" album. Actually surprised that the band got away from their initial contract without that obligation.
Cool idea, if it wasn't ridiculously overpriced.
Parlophone could have saved some money (increased the profit margin) if they encoded to FLAC and used a 2GB drive...
Or gone really cheap and just burnt a CD of mp3s...
