On Monday night, the newly bowdlerized VH1 Classic will air this year's Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony, in which artists such as R.E.M., Grandmaster Flash, and Van Halen will be honored with a 12-minute, multi-guitarist version of "In The Midnight Hour." We'll be watching it live, so please join us for a few hours of up-to-the-minute Paul Shaffer jokes and Diver Down references.

Waitwaitwait - only VH1 Classic is running this? Nothing on regular VH1? Bummer...
Yeah, snark all you want - I watch this thing every year. I still have happy memories of Prince's smokin' solo on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" three years ago.
Also being shown on the MTV HD channel. Better hairplug/facelift scar visibility in Hi-Def. So that's where I'll be.
I am preemptively tired just thinking about this plodding block of television programming.
For example, I just briefly considered the Waldorf-Astoria, and I yawned.
(Prince's guitar solo at his induction -- or anything Prince does, really -- notwithstanding.)
What is Quentin Tarantino doing at that jam session?
The Billy Joel portion of the photo cracks me up.
Eddie in rehab: "Can you turn the tv in the rec room to VH 1 classic?"
Nurse Ratchet: "No. Take your meds."
