We hear that Island/Def Jam sent exactly 15 review copies of Jay-Z's American Gangster out to journalists—and when tracks from the album leaked last week, the label tried to see who the guilty party was, only to find that the songs could be traced back to 13 out of the 15 copies mailed out. If only Thou Shall Not Leak were still around to track those writers down and give 'em all an e-flogging, right?

That's hilarious. I'm wondering if most of those promos went to people who were also invited to Jay's in-studio listening session earlier this month, too. In which case, I'm kinda surprised some of those people were dumb enough to leak it.
Agreed. This is awesome.
And why the fuck does is this particular leak missing two tracks in the middle?!! It's REALLY ANNOYING.
I'm just saying...uh...so I've heard.
I don't understand.
With Oink shut down. Where on the Internet could they have leaked it to?
the new version of "Ignorant Shit" leaked today, but yeah, that was kind of frustrating, especially since that was the track I was most looking forward to hearing.
@sparkletone: Usenet. It is the new scourge of the internet!
