Did they really need a report that took nearly 2 years and likely cost millions of dollars to tell us that the guy in that picture is on the juice?

@maura: In his Red Sox days, I saw him pulling into the parking lot of a celebrity golf tournament and ran over to get his autograph. He looks around, thinks about it, then says, "Sorry kid, if I gave you one then I'd have to give one to everybody."

Of course! The owners weren't going to scapegoat themselves, now, were they? And their record-breaking profits meant they just had that much more money to throw around, since -- contrary to all appearances -- it wasn't going to players.
