U2's PR people are now denying the rumor that Bono would be collaborating with the Spice Girls as the "sixth Spice." Or they might have denied it, if you can decipher the NME's street slang, because the rumors are "a load of all codswallop according to another tabloid." (I think that means "fibs.") [NME]

I knew that Bono was not awesome enough to spice up his life.
Oh, his life is spiced up all right. Unfortunately it's full of twelve-year old McCormick's paprika from your mom's spice rack -- the one that's just for show.
I can see why someone who once dressed up his band as the Village People would want to quash this rumor.
Bono can now direct his freedom scents/baby's head analogies elsewhere.
