  • I hope I'm right, but this just seems like musical chairs in the Seattle live music industry thankfully retaining the smarter ones. I doubt much will change -- although I'm not familiar with AEG Live's internal politics. Are they VVM-like or something?

  • Just read more on the Line Out article. If Dave Meinert is correct, this is actually a big plus for those who are trying to fight the Seattle mayor's obsession with Draconian measures to regulate nightlife in Seattle i.e. basically stop anything interesting in order make Seattle one giant rich condo-filled forest. AEG lawyers could probably go quite a ways more than an independent venue's lawyers could in such nightlife regulation issues.
