Shred Of Dignity: Putting Unwanted Promo CDs To Rest

Recently, the Idolator flophouse was gifted with a menacing-looking new CD shredder—nicknamed "Dicey"—and it's been instrumental in clearing our workspace of unwanted promotional discs. We've decided to start cataloging some of Dicey's conquests, and since capturing executions via cameraphone seem to be all the rage these days, we're happy to share the NSFW proceedings:

THE VICTIM: The Hold Steady, Boys And Girls In America
PUNISHABLE OFFENSES: The problem with outdated promo CDs—aside from the fact that they won't play in anything but a mid-'80s boombox—is that they're often embedded with a traceable watermark, meaning that a Limewire-loving hobo could fish it out of the trash and place on the Internet (hobos are big DRM advocates). And so this America must be destroyed.
DID IT DIE WITH HONOR?: Yes, though if you listened close enough, you could swear you were hearing last-wish references to the Mississippi River and someone named "Holly."
