A semi-reputable gossip site is claiming that the entire staff of VH1 Classic has gotten the axe. We're hoping this is an exaggeration—not only because it will mean a lot of people have lost their jobs, but because we've grown to love Eddie Trunk's semi-fawning interviews with the likes of Scott Ian and the scary-looking dude from Yes. Any updates? Please drop us a line at tips@idolator.com.
UPDATE: We're also hearing that staffers at MTV International have been let go.

There went my excuse to subscribe to DirecTV's Choice Xtra service.
Terrible news....does anyone even make music videos anymore? If so, what's the point? No one will have any stations to broadcast them.
VH1 Classic was the only good thing about mtv networks, no wonder they're getting rid of it.
I am a hopeless addict of Classic Albums (no DVD buying necessary!) and BBC Crown Jewels. If they take that shit off the air my DVR will be relieved but I will be one sad panda!
Pleeeeeeeeease tell me Vanessa Minnillo is next!
So all we have left for videos is FUSE?
VH1 Classic will be sorely missed. They were a music channel that actually showed programs about music. It was glorious and fleeting and we knew it couldn't last.
biggest pile of horse shit ever.
i might as well kill my cable subscription now.
