Things I apparently missed while I was out on Saturday night with Maura meeting the tween pop nation (which you'll get to read about soon enough): Perez Hilton hosting Mad TV and Kanye on Saturday Night Live. Quite the evening for the blogs on the late-night sketch comedy, would you not agree? Since I haven't had any coffee yet and would rather swallow an entire length of live electrical cable than force myself to through a second of Mad TV whether the toad prince of celeb bloggers was hosting or not, enjoy this sketch where a slightly less wooden than usual Mr. West riffs on his quest to give himself an early awards show ulcer, terrorizes Daktoa Fanning (something we can all get behind), smashes children's pumpkins while popping bottles (ditto), and even though it's not really laugh-out-loud funny, still makes me wonder why the wooden LeBron James was asked to actually host instead of Kanye.

The only buzzworthy moment on Saturday Night Live was the new digital short with Adam Sandberg and Adam Levine crooning about love to Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Yet you post this tired and derivative Kanye skit?
Whoops, for a second there, I forgot I was at Idolator.
@extracrispy: But the Ahmadinejad clip is everywhere on the interwebs already; this Kanye video is something I hadn't seen yet. (I haven't watched our Tivo'd SNL yet.)
I thought the Kanye sketch started off just mildly amusing and got actually LOL funny starting with the Nobel Prize segment. There's just something about West interrupting that with "Aw, HELLLL naw" that's empirically funny.
@extracrispy: It's *Andy* Samberg, sweets. And the song was about a minute too long and not as funny as Jezebel's treatment of the topic.
@extracrispy: That last bit was sort of unnecessarily rude, don't you think? (You probably don't, I'm sure.) Where I come from we have a slogan that is usually used in anti-littering campaigns, but I have adapted it for this situation, and I think it addresses the sort of rude comment litter you've perpetrated:

I'm not positive, but I think extracrispy was maybe being ironical. Doesn't Idolator like to make fun of certain blogs' readership for their propensity toward knee-jerk negative reactions to any post regarding hip-hop?
I criticize only because I love. Idolator was better when it didn't post something every time Kanye West farted.
@maura: When I get paid to do this, I'll be sure to get my enormously hot Jews in order.
word, i hadnt seen this either. this only makes me love kanye more since he can laugh at himself. swoon.
@aluberalles: ok never mind
