Is this video for the Maccabees' "Toothpaste Kisses" the next "1-2-3-4"? It seems to have all the requisite elements: A quiet, strummy song that can easily translate to a gadget's yuppie-targeted ad campaign (already!); a swooping one-take setup that makes the sleepy song somehow seem kind of exciting; and a lot of beautiful, gender-neutral types just hanging around, waiting for the camera to shine its light on them. Also it has kissing. Lots and lots of kissing. Although somehow the whole serial-smooching setup doesn't come off as erotic as much as it does well-choreographed. And speaking of dance: whoever coined the phrase "balletic snogfest," which is how the clip is described in its YouTube copy, has committed a crime against language that should be punishable by being forced to copyedit the video's comments, one by one. (A sample: "now THAT is hot!!...gosh..it would be soo fun just goin round snogging randoms...I SHOULD TRY THAT OUT!!....and avoid being stabbed XD")
