Well, it might have been worse: Instead of the slightly cliched, disturbingly pyro-free "yearbook comes to life" concept, this clip for Poison's cover of "What I Like About You" could have been transformed into an extended ad for Fetch Me A Skank: Over-The-Hill Rocker Edition. Perhaps the band is saving that concept for the video promoting their Wal-Mart-only cover of "SexyBack?"

despite what no-one has said, that was awesome!
well i say awesome, really i mean passable.
well, i say passable, really i mean poor..
ah, i said poor , but what i really mean is, um, shite.
This is still better than anything by Deerhoof.
exactly, i mean - holy fuck - get some Gallows down ya.
Then you'll know you're born - Gallows = best band since At The Drive In.

I like it :(
It's actually a good cover of a great song. CC deserves a pasting for that hair though. In fact apply that phrase to any point in the last 20 years.
BlimpyMcFlah = best shill for an unknown crappy band since, well... oh who gives a f--k.
Even in the age of auto tune Poison still can't harmonize! Long live the unison background vocals!
.....With the flamerz, I do agree. the "bop" lick came out of a Blues Guitar book of the late 70s. Nice for warm-up hammer-ons, but don't EVER try to pass it off as YOUR lick. Butt-holes.
In response: Cinderella is in studio now putting together a cover of "Funkytown".
@BlimpyMcFlah: That singer reminds me of a young John Lydon. I've always had a rabid, cock-punching hatred of John Lydon.
oh good, i do like a good cock-punching.
to be played ad nauseam at Class of 1987 reunions all across the Midwest this summer.
I'm glad Poison continues to inspire the genderqueer kids. I tot. spy like 5/8 of BoySkout and The Shondes in the class of Freeman High.
I just can't wait for the Jackyl cover of "My Sharona." I always thought that song needed more chainsaws anyway.
