On a related note to that image, a few years ago I saw Michael Lesko in BWI airport in Maryland and he was wearing a purple suit with green question marks all over it. He had sparkly patent leather Airwalks as well...
Just last week my girlfriend saw him at Penn Station in NYC wearing a similar get up. Talk about committing to character.
I read this as the opposite... he's offering a link on his blogroll to anyone willing to pay $45/month. Which makes him even more retarded.

This reminds me of what Scenestars is trying to do.
I have a few ideas about who might try something like this, but I suspect ultimately it will turn out to be some blog that I've never heard of.

Music For Robots is run by many people. They don't really even link to stuff that much. I can't imagine them doing it. Same with the other two.
I'm betting this is an LHB scheme.
