Idolator

High school has changed quite a bit since Idolator was a fat-faced freshman—for one thing, the home-made meth labs have totally gone mainstream. But there's at least one ritual to which we can relate: The slow, awkward process of trying to learn the opening chords of "Stairway to Heaven." There are plenty of amateur versions posted over at YouTube, and while most of them won't be confused for a vintage Page-at-Knebworth performance (especially the goof above, who's straddling a giant V-neck), most of them are pretty damn charming. Be sure to check out this ghostly junior-band version, which boils the song down to about three minutes. Just steer clear of the Korean drama of the same name, which is about as appealing as listening to these guys.
