It'd be way more lucrative to play the Theater at MSG, pick up a hefty check, then move on to Philly or Boston the next night. As it is, fans get to see them in a venue much smaller and cooler than they realistically should be able to. Plus they're breaking in new material.

That said, I'll trade my Wednesday tickets for Season 2 of Fawlty Towers and a mint-nr mint Ty Cobb Cracker Jack card.

It might even be cheaper that way, even after travel expenses. Just a thought.

Then again, I have no idea if this 5-night-stand is a one-off or not.

I can't help wanting to figure out why The Fire prefers to do these type of classic-rock cliches in NYC, even though it's probably just for fun. First, it was the playing-in-the-streets thing. Now it's the five-night stand. Are they going to be ironically draping themselves in the Canadian flag a la Who next?
