The sales of the new NOW! will be yet another useful benchmark of How Far We've Sunk. Back in 2000, these things could do 600K in a week. Last year, they seemed to be settling into the high-100K range, sometimes over 200K. As this is the first NOW! of the post-Tower, Industry Is Fucked, Even My Mother Shops On iTunes era, it'll be interesting to see if it clears six figures.

"Avenged Sevenfold".Dude! Now that's a ->hARd<- band name!

I've never heard of them before either, but 10 quid says the frontman is bald, has excessive body tattoos and/or peircings, and that he works extra hard to make sure lyrics like "I'm so sorry for being me!" sound as gritty as possible.
