"Widely loathed"? It was all I heard everywhere I went that summer and everyone seemed to be enjoying it, but maybe that was just NYC.

Fischerspooner are self-consciously dressed up in indie costumes in that vid, which makes it great that Trouser calls it "just a performance." We're all in costumes, all the time, it's just that Fischerspooner's were usually more fun to look at.

Fischerspooner is what happens when you cross art/fashion/acting and music. Schooled at the Art Institute in Chicago in the mid 90's, is when Warren and Casey met. Listening to Fischerspooner is one thing, but watching them makes you appreciate what they do. An orgy of color,chaos,dancers and music is what they are about. And they pull it off!
