Good post, Idolators. I particularly like that Malkin keeps calling him a rapper while talking over video clips of the dude singing. Interesting, too, that she calls Akon a rapper with exactly the same relish as she calls him an "animal." Something tells me that the two words -- along with another one she's not allowed to say -- are synonymous in Malkin's world.

Calling him a "rapper" is a mistake that 90% of the critics and journalists writing about Akon seem to make, and it continually mystifies me that they can all be that dense. Did his label send out misleading press materials at some point, or are they just confused because his first hit was about prison?
