I know I'm late to this, but this was too good. I'm with Blaine23, he gets a pass for liking tunes that were a lot more relevant when he was in his 20s - one can even note note a slight New England bias in the list (No Roadrunner?), which might explain the inclusion of that shitty, shitty Cafferty song. No the real shame, as the post implies, is on EW for apparently printing any crap he scribbles down for them.

By the by, Hell's Angels, still very much around. You don't even need to leave NYC to know that.

Seriously though, offering up the Lyres and Willie "Loco" Alexander (why no MP3s for those who didn't grow up with Breakfast of Champions, Late Risers' Club and V-66?) and keeping the epic form alive through The Dark Tower is enough for me to give him a pass on all the crud.

Christ that was funny... and sad, in that King obviously thinks that he's quite the hep cat, not realizing that his list of boomer rock was even more trite and half-assed than his fiction. But I do give him a smidgen of credit for not trying to pander by throwing in something current (although the mind boggles at what Uncle Stevie might consider current: White Zombie?
