R. Kelly doesn't transcend cookie-cutter R&B except by dint of underage girls and midgets and bad hip-hoperettas. "Trapped in the Closet" is a (cough) "cultural phenomenon," but despite having seen/heard it multiple times I couldn't tell you what it sounds like at all.

The solution to all this is that the Indigo Girls need to knock over a bank, do their time, then record a concept album with Timbaland and do a mixtape with Weezy and KD Lang featuring skits in which they prank-call Eminem.
