Even though Coverdale and Co. had a tendency to bury Sykes in the mix, his growly-shreddy guitarwork lifted Whitesnake from obscurity, to mega-platinum status with the 1986 album. After Sykes was dumped in favor of Adrian Vandenburg and Steve Vai, Whitesnake quickly plummeted back into obscurity...

You are correct. There was a guy arrested last summer in Pittsburgh for impersonating the 3rd string QB of the Steelers and a backup TE...who is going to know what those two are supposed to look like...he borrowed a bunch of money from one girl, who then tried to contact the player through the team and that is where the wheels came off the wagon...had he kept it to just getting laid, he had a great thing going...
