Virgin Records (Janet Jackson) removed itself from the trial during or immediately prior to jury selection. The case was originally Virgin et al vs. Thomas but when they pulled the Janet Jackson song, it became Capitol et al vs. Thomas (Capitol-Arista-Interscope-Sony BMG-Warner Bros.-UMG vs. Thomas)
