Upon further consideration, I could see Pitchfork holding off on a review until the Discbox comes out, and reviewing it as a unit, in which case the bonus materials would factor into the score as well. Either way, this review is going to be so totally meta you guys.

The review for this album will be so anti-climactic. Most Pfork readers will have already downloaded the album, so what good will a Pfork review of In Rainbows do other than just raw acknowledgement of the album's existence?

@loudersoft: 7.6 is way too low for BNM, much less 'Recommended'!! I predict that the Pitchfork review will come out in enough time (a week or so?) that the 'backlash' (in the sense of NOT just saying the album is amazing because it's an event and we're all so so so excited AHHHHHH!) will already have started, OR will be ripe to start, with Pitchfork dealing the first 'blow' with a middling review in the 6.0-7.0 range.
