Anyway, you teased it out, Jess. Nice job.

My last year of freebie CMJ badges was five years ago, and I don't think, in all my years of attending (roughly '96-'02, with some breaks in-between) I ever managed to fight my way into the rooms where any of the you-had-to-be-there shows occurred. I can't say I miss the stress, the sweat, or the self-imposed, you're-not-cool-enough guilt of the whole thing. Phew! I'm glad those days are over.
