		    <description><![CDATA[<P><I>Why doesn't anyone call people out for this stuff?<BR>the unfounded fear that you just don't get it.</I></P>
<P>Exactly right. Liking Indie Music can largely be about posing as both cool and intellectual - being too smart and worldly to listen to Madonna and Brittany Spears, like the other 'sheeple'.</P>
<P>This means no-one ventures an honest opinion on music - they check everyone else's opinion first to learn the opinion they're supposed to have, and no-one wants to call out shit like 'Animal Collective' because they don't want to risking being the one who 'doesn't get it', and are therefore 'uncooler' than everyone else, and should go back to conformist safety of verse / chorus / verse pop music.</P>
<P>Frankly, i remain unconvinced that anyone plays any of this stuff when they're alone. They end up with record collections full of the awful, underreaching music they deserve.</P></BR> <p>HomefrontRadio</p>]]></description>
