As a longtime insomniac/infomercial viewer who's seen the "Midnight Soul" ads many times, I had high hopes when I saw this post's headline. However, this is easily one of the lamest excuses ever for an Idolator post. Couldn't even make it past the fourth paragraph. Yawn.

Boylan makes some mildly funny observations about the satin-lined box, etc., but it seems like the Dial A Song feature would benefit from a bit of prudent editing. In the words of Space Ghost (imitating Thom Yorke): "Cut cut cut cut cut cut cut."

Have you guys seen the new Time-Life 60s/summer of love set they have out? They actually have Peter Fonda shilling for it! Complete with his Captain America bike and get-up on the stage behind him.

My mom and I watched a half hour of this over the past weekend. Not ashamed to admit that at all.
