Disagreed on Franklin Bridge -- they were way better this week, lyric fuckups or no -- and my money's on Cliff Wagner getting the boot. The band's great, but the rules of the show totally frustrate what they're about, and even barring their charmingly fugly look, they just weren't made for TV. I thought the cover of "You May Be Right" was imaginative but tough to bring off, and they didn't.

If Sixwire weren't in the competition (and, again, totally unfairly), I'd say Clark Bros. were a shoo-in to take the crown -- they're so friggin' talented. Also, I felt they completely crushed Sixwire this week in the sweepstakes of "interesting reinterpretation of Billy Joel songs beginning with 'She' and placing women on pedestals."

@GovernmentNames: Agreed on the Denver singer -- he's totally the weak link. But he probably saved the band for another week with the video about his wife giving birth that week.

Chris Molanphy

Light of Doom, although way too young for prime time, are this amazing glimmer of hope in these tough times.

400 now? Did their ratings actually go up recently?

Denver and the Mile High Orchestra are easily my most hated band on this show. Love em or hate em, retro swing bands usually at least have a competent singer, that guy seems like he got the gig because he couldn't play trombone.

Al Shipley
