I studied abroad in Madrid in the spring of '96, and I remember discovering "Que Puedo Hacer" (the best Lemonheads song Evan Dando never wrote...in Spanish) and Los Planetas, and what a wonderful thing it was. As an alt-rock/college rock-loving youngster, I had found the Spanish rock of the time to be lacking in that certain I-don't-know-what, but Los Planetas were like a fizzy, fuzzy breath of fresh air. I bought all their tapes at El Corte Ingles. Buenas epocas.
