They have one of the most reliable knacks for gorgeous melodies and insanely hummable hooks in mainstream pop right now. And the words are no worse than, say, post-Beatles McCartney or Conor Oberst. Also, when was the last time Radiohead wrote rhyming lyrics? (Disclaimer: I haven't exactly listened to "In Rainbows" obsessively, so forgive me if there's rhyming on there.)
