In case you were wondering, he's back home with his fam [who apparently had no idea he was out on the road performing and doing that whole AI thing], is one of NINE siblings, and is only home because the car he chooses to call "home" is on the fritz. [Life's a bitch huh] When introducing the segment, I believe Maria Menudo or whatever her name is uttered that the segment "is sponsored by Ford" [as is everything Idol related right? Interestingly no other segment needed sponsorship that night] leading me to believe that he was about to GET A BRAND NEW CAR (!) in said segment. Unfortunately*, that didn't happen. Just good old fashioned exploiting** of a kid who just can't catch a break.

*And surprisingly as well. I mean really, no one has just given the kid a new car yet?*** I guess it would have been more sensational and tv worthy had he made it to the top 24?

**I mean seriously, they had him get in his car and show what he classifies as "rooms" and the like, AND mimic laying down for a good night's rest. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

***Wait, am I jumping the gun? Did Ellen take care this already? She seems like the type of person would totally be down with giving him a new whip.

That's why I wanted this kid to stay on Idol so bad, just to see what he'd perform next.
